I can't believe it's finally here! 1,000 followers on Teachers Pay Teachers!!! It seems like just yesterday that I opened my store with my first FREE download. Quality Products
I am a HUGE believer of research- based lessons and materials. So, I took all my knowledge as well as continued to research to create products that were beneficial to students. I used what worked in my classroom that I could stand behind because I knew it worked. And I tried to give as much material to a product as I could.
Fill a Need
As I created products I just created what I used. Then one day I realized I should be creating what I need. I started creating science lessons and it was amazing they have become my number one selling products. Now not everyone has to write science lessons. You might write amazing math lessons, reading lessons, counseling topics, etc. Create what you need and you will fill a need of other teachers.
Teacher Requests
Another great way to create products is through teach requests. I have loved working with other teachers and publishing companies to create products that they need. I love knowing that a product is going to enjoyed by at least one teacher. And if one teacher loves it I knew other teachers would love it too. Creating specific products for teachers has been a joy.
Marketing and Social Media
For me learning to market through social media has been a new adventure. I enjoy learning new things and took this project head-on. Through my time on TPT I have learned a lot and become a better marketer. Although I still have so many things I want to try or get better at (Youtube, Instagram, blogging, etc.) I have really started to excel on Facebook and Pinterest.
Celebration
As my store, teacher relationships, and products have grown I am so ready to celebrate this milestone with you all. I am excited to reach my first 1,000 followers and am excited to watch it grow to 2,000 then 3,000 and so on.
